What is the London Business Interruption Association?
This Association was formed on 22 May 2002 following the merger of two Societies; The London Business Interruption Society, whose members were Insurance Brokers, Loss Adjusters and Assessors and the 150 Association, whose members were Insurers.
These two Societies (and, in turn, their predecessors) went back many (at least fifty) years.
The formation of the LBIA brought all Insurers, Brokers, Loss Adjusters and Assessors under one Association. Its membership was also opened up to all who have a professional interest in the subject, not just the original groupings.
The Association currently has over 600 members.
The Committee Members give their time free of charge to organise events, both technical and social for the benefit of members. New Committee Members are always welcome.
