The London Business Interruption Association (LBIA) is repeating its popular business interruption foundation education day.

Format
- Timing – 10am -4.00pm (Registration from 9.30)
- The format of the day is:
- Introduction and welcome
- Introduction to BI – insurable gross profit, policy wording issues, indemnity periods, extensions
- Lunch – a cold sandwich lunch is provided
- Case study- utilising knowledge gained in the morning session
Cost
£50 per delegate to cover the cost of lunch, refreshments and hiring the facility, payable in advance. An invoice will be sent to all confirmed delegates via email.
Content
The day will look at how to calculate a correct insurable gross profit sum insured, consider what are the main extensions required (and why), point out the main pitfalls and consider required amendments to the ‘standard’ policy wording. Please bring a calculator!
Delegates
The course is aimed at relatively inexperienced staff (loss adjusters, junior underwriters, brokers and/or claims technicians) but those with a basic understanding of business interruption Maximum number of 70 delegates
Please note that due to expected high demand, a maximum of five delegates per company is allowed.

Trainer
The trainer is Diane Jenkins is a technical general insurance trainer with extensive senior level insurance experience. She provides all levels of BI training and is the Education Secretary and a past Chairman of the London Business Interruption Association.
Various members of the LBIA will provide additional support to answer questions and assist with the afternoon case study.
